Rooiboslief specializes in providing customers with high-quality Rooibos tea, grown exclusively in the Citrusdal Valley of the Western Cape in South Africa. The Rooibos plant (Aspalathus Linearis) can only be grown in this unique area, making Rooibos a product of origin with full traceability back to each crop and batch.
In May 2021, Rooibos was granted Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status by the European Union (EU), becoming the first food in Africa to receive this recognition. This means that the origin of the Rooibos plant is protected, and the term “Rooibos” can only be used for tea that originates from the 16 regions within the Western and Northern Cape of South Africa.
All Rooiboslief’s Rooibos tea is grown on their family farm in this specific region, ensuring that customers receive a genuine and authentic product that is true to its origin.
Our Rooibos is USDA NOP and EU 2018/848 certified Organic by Ecocert SA so you can enjoy every cup knowing it’s pure, traceable, grown and packed with integrity.
